Not a very thorough story, but what I want to know is why they weren’t worried that a pack of wolves had moved into the city in the first place, and how it took 40 casualties before anyone did anything about it. For fucks sake, at least leave out some poison meat – though for all I know back then, people were stupid and/or desperate enough to eat poisoned rotting meat from the sidewalks.
Although, now that I’m experiencing the ravaging depredations of a crane fly, I understand the need to just run and hide.
