Remember how people wailed back in early 08 when Bear-Stearns went under, how they wailed about the shorts killing a perfectly awesome company that would have survived were it not for the shorts (those betting on a company doing bad instead of good.)?

Bear Stearns convened a meeting of British and American hedge-fund managers here, in January 2008, to figure out how much money there was to be made betting on Iceland’s collapse. (A lot.)

Yeah, they got what was coming.
