I durn screwed the pooch with the last mp3 export. There was a problem with sample length timing at the original 192khz output from ableton. 48khz exporting seems to have fixed the problem.
I also have changed the bitrate to 320 so it wont be losing out on any bass or high end.
Further smithing has been done upon the forge of Live, with Operator’s fiery blasting keeping beats hot and epic Electric chiming layered over everything. Too much? I dunno, before I go too much farther I must consult with my parter in beatcrime, but I wanted to see what my meat-free space friends might think.
Science H. Christ, wtf is going on with wordpress today? First, my HTML editor icons disappeared (so now I just have to guess!) – if that wasn’t bad enough, the podcaster’s acting all wonky.. AND THEN my wordpress admin widget bar decided to stop showing icons (at least shows titles when i expand it… for now). Also, editing text widgets makes the font turn to white … on a white background. That’s also a nightmare now. WTF is going on? This shit isn’t just supposed to break!

Well, at least this time the podcast isn’t showing up twice, unlike last time (where it didn’t show up at all) and the time before (where it showed up twice, with the first one nonfuctional)
Sorry for stuffing up twitter, the feeds, and everything else. I think it’s a sign that it’s time to go outside and get some real sunbeams. (note: this snippet is from a remix of Sunbeam’s Outside World. ) Like I said in my previously deleted post, there are a bunch of remixes that just play the intro sample looped over some genre beats (’house,’ ‘breaks’ etc) without any real remixing going on, I’d call it a mashup except they’re actually looping. ^.^ I’ve rated them all “poor” and left snarky comments. And you’ll find no loops from the original in my snippet above (might sample the vocal at some point, might not).
Been workin on some new audio tricks. First up for your consideration is a little piece I’m calling Sonitorium. Base audio generated by the Kurzweil and my voice; effects voodoo courtesy of Ableton.

The second is a little junk I made with some drums n’ bass on the Kurz and a lead arp on my alesis Micron (currently out on loan so work on this fell by the wayside).
Apologies for the static, a weird artifact of mp3 compression I don’t feel like chasing down at the moment.
