Coincidence? I’d bet my life it’s not. This shit really pisses me off. The Iranian people have been peaceful and free for thousands of years, up until we started fucking with them in the 50s. And every time they make steps towards trying to re-make peace with us after we fucked their society over (Wiki ‘The Shah‘ ‘Iran Contra‘ ‘Iran-Iraq War‘ etc), we reject them and say “Stop threatening us or we’ll drop bombs on you.” Anyone remember the offer they made to sell out Bin Laden in the aftermath of 9/11 – that Bush immediately rejected, punished the messenger (the European ambassador), and then started threatening them for ‘sponsoring terrorism,’ claiming erroneously that they were building a bomb (despite the fact that the CIA intelligence said no, they claimed the opposite, and only years later did we find out the truth).
So with all that above, do I believe the Pentagon when they say these two nations are collaborating on ICBMs, news which just mysteriously didn’t arrive here before the day of their new election? Nope.
It is time for America to stop fucking with other people’s nations. We would (and have) kick the ass of anyone who fucks with our nation, whether they really did it or not (c.f. Iraq invasion liberation). Why, for science’s sake, would we expect anyone else to react differently?
