Brand new species of never-before seen ant is invading the US. They have multiple queens per nest and fuck like mad, apparently, because they went from a problem of multiple thousands to multiple millions (or more? Even millions is just a guess) in the space of a few years. Their species increased its numbers a thousand-fold. Thankfully they only like the coastal regions around the Gulf of Mexico, but when you reproduce that prolifically, adaptation and spread is a must.
And common pesticides don’t work very well, and the ones that do barely make a dent.
