They wont let you register with a gmail address.
So I registered with one of my random, throw-away clubneko addresses (so I can identify which website goes against their policies and turns my email address over to spambots) – and they have an extra forum verification step where an actual admin reads your application and then denies you entry.
Seriously guys, your forum is full of such crap advice anyway. I was going to reply to a 14 page thread about the monitor I just bought (since most of it was full of people who didn’t own the device), but their registration process turned me off (you don’t find out about this stuff until the end of the automated process) before my registration denial even came down the pipe.
So instead of intelligent, insightful commentary in their community, they just get the finger. Way to go, HardForum.com!
