Finally? After telling us that mass production would drive the cost of a cd down, they went up continuously. But I just heard an ad for Green Day’s latest album, available for only ten buck. Not “on sale for” or anything like that. Just ten bucks. Or maybe it’s a release promotional because no one buys cds anymore because it’s a worthless old gigantic record-like storage format compared to mp3 players.
Sure, it may cost $30,000 to fill up an iPod, but buying the same amount of music on cd used to cost twice that. And you can fit 5 to 10 times the amount of mp3s on the same cd. A very very inefficient way to move music around.
