This is another quote from the aforelinked story on Syrian lingerie. I find it interesting that this is so polar opposite to Christian attitudes towards sexuality. All I’ve ever heard on that subject is “God says it’s only okay if yr married ‘n makin a baby. But don’t enjoy it.”
Indeed, if a husband fails to satisfy his wife sexually – or vice versa – it is considered grounds for divorce under Islamic law.
Holy Shit. Really? In Western society, I know many men feel that way, and a large percentage of women may too – c.f. the high prevalence of adultery, bigamy and swinging in our society, and also the high prevalence of lying (or hiding what others consider ‘deviance’), which means the aforementioned activities are probably underreported. I can guarantee you, however, that if our society recognized such a thing, it would only be the male’s satisfaction covered.
