Wasn’t expecting that to be my future shock moment for the day. I’ll see your crappy economy news and up you the dinosaur version of Futurama’s Head in a Jar (developed, of course, by Ron Popeil).
This will be a pretty cool study aid, though, testing lung cancer drugs by giving rat lung-in-a-jars cancer. They can be cloned, so no animals suffer. Why not? We have the technology, it’s just a matter of tinker-toying them together. We’ve grown hearts that start to beat, next step some rat lungs that breath, and live for 12 hours in a jar. From there on out, sky’s the limit. Just think of them as ‘natural resources.’
