At 00:00 we go dark to protest SOPA. Have a little Willie and a think [about the proposed felony we're committing by participating in this cultural transaction].
Tomorrow, I will abstain from the internet-at-large [and scratch my skin to bits like a junkie with the wirewant]. Music making, listening and book reading [kindle, hence the 'at-large'] will be the order of the day. It’s not that I have a lot of traffic [I don't] and it’s not that my site will have any impact in the wake of Wikipedia and whoever else is unplugging, it’s the principle of the matter.
What I do here is considered worse than murder [at least from the punitive standpoint] by the entertainment industries.
I remind these industries that they are made of people and are riding the crest of hundreds of thousands of years of human cultural evolution.
It is not theirs to dictate how our culture will evolve just because they figured out a way to suck blood from in this past century.
So join me, tomorrow, and create some culture. And share it on the 19th.
