Ya’ll’r my little idea development laboratory. So I was just thinking about how the internet’s been visualized, you know, for posters or whatever. Viewing the internet as a connection of machines is great from a technical standpoint, but it’s like trying to figure out what a human thinks by the shape of their brain. A more semantic view of the internet would be a 3d visualization of the links from one website to another, spaced by something arbitrary like equating the number of traceroute hops to units of distance from one website to another. I have to get ready for school now, but when I come back I plan to develop a quick visual demonstration of what I mean.
