Erasure? Always!

Adult Swim has this pretty fun browser game called Robot Unicorn Attack – and this track is the theme song for the video game (well, the new 2009 mix of this track anyway). The best part is probably the death sequence.

And just for completeness: Erasure? meh, Sometimes.

But halfway through that you’re gonna scream ERASURE, STOP! (Sometimes was bad enough not gonna link this one but if you’re brave it’s there waiting for you.) This one, You Surround Me is worth 30 seconds just to see that awful outfit he’s wearing. You’ll be like, “Thank science they decided to get all normal for the Always video.”

Dust it Off

You’re not going to be sure at first. You’re going to be like, why am I watching this. Then you’ll start to kinda get into it, then you get to the end, and it is pretty lolarious. Fairly SFW but you’ll probably want to enjoy it at home anyway, lyrics are a bit suggestive. Video is facebook and I can’t see any way to embed it, but open to the public.

update: link fixed!

Animal Collective – My Girls

I found it pretty enjoyable. I suspect you shall too.

Piano, motherfcker, do you speak it?

Wednesday, October 7th, 2009

Yeah, the singing robot was cool, but a talking piano? Now that’s tricky. The narration is in German but it’s caption-titled so you can get the gist of what’s going on. It’s a real, old-style mechanical piano, not a synthesizer. It requires a giant piano keyboard sized machine to play it. But really, how cool is that that it’s even possible?
