Dell said Thursday night that the company had earned $3 million in revenue directly through Twitter since 2007, when it started posting coupons and word of new products on the microblogging site.

When asked whether Dell would pay Twitter for an account, Mr. Binhammer said, “We’ll cross that bridge when we come to it.”

The American ideal. Something for nothing. It’s what we’ve been practicing with these corporate and bank Failouts. We imagine that we’re going to give out all that money and it’s going to cost us nothing in the end. Dell makes $3 million dollars in revenue and Twitter is a maybe-pay?
