10 years after being diagnosed with MS (multiple sclerosis), gives big fuck you to nature and big ups to human ingenuity and determination.
That’s gotta be a pretty awesome feeling. Lets hope science pulls a hat trick for MS folk in the next 20-50 years. It can’t be fun to lose control of your body and skin feeling slowly – you’d almost want to have it over and done with. Hopefully we’ll pull something off within Stephen Hawking’s life (he has amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, ALS or Lou Gehrig’s disease, which would hopefully have related treatments) it would be nice to see him walk again. A triumph for the science he’s so tireless done and championed in the public sphere. If I ever start the New Church of Science, St. Hawking will definitely be one of the Prophets of Reality.
